Let’s learn how to draw William James Moriarty from Yuukoku no Moriarty today!
William James Moriarty (ウィリアム・ジェームズ・モリアーティ, Wiriamu Jēmuzu Moriāti ) is the main character of Moriarty the Patriot. Real name of Moriarty is unknown. He and his sick brother Louis were orphans who lived in an orphanage. He eventually met the eldest Moriarty child Albert James Moriarty, who would often visit the orphanage to help the children. After Albert found out about the future Moriarty’s goal to make everyone in Britain equal, he promised him all of his power and had his father adopt him and Louis. After burning the entire Manor down and make it look like an accident, he adopts the name of the one he killed, of William James Moriarty, his other adoptive brother and the second son of the Moriarty household.
He lives the simple life of a noble, a young mathematics professor and the Antiheroic protagonist of the manga who has displayed great cunning and intellect since he was a child. Outside of school, William is a well-known private consultant willing to solve the problems of anyone in need. However, his gentle demeanor belies his position as the head of a group that is prepared to wreak havoc in pursuit of its desire – a new world built from the ashes of the old. He is a genius who attempts to overthrow evil novels and destroy the class system that has caused misery and pain to the poor everywhere. He adopts the title of Crime consultant. At some point he crosses paths with Sherlock Holmes.

As always all the blue and green lines are just construction lines and will be erased later so do not push on your pencil too much ^_^ I will try to be super efficient with the text so will only describe steps that require some explanation.
Make sure to leave enough free space on paper for next steps. You can see how much space you will need from the size of the paper on this picture.

Lighten all the construction lines by “stamping” the kneaded eraser on the paper. Make sure to refer to the picture bellow as you need to ink only some parts of the construction lines.

Wait till the ink is nice and dry and erase all the construction lines.

To add colors, make sure to sketch the color outlines with the right color or pencil first.
If your goal is to become a real Mangaka and design your own manga characters make sure to try to draw William James Moriarty from memory several times. Always compare the drawing to the original and correct any mistakes you see. Do this till you are happy with the result. It doesn’t have to look exactly the same, don’t sweat the details. The point is that you get the main shapes right and that it looks good. This is the best way to build a huge library of manga shapes in your memory that you can use to draw and design your own manga characters ^-^.
