Let’s learn how to draw Narancia Ghirga from Jojo’s Bizzare Adventure today!
Narancia Ghirga (ナランチャ・ギルガ Narancha Giruga) is a side character and ally of Vento Aureo – Golden Wind, which is the fifth story arc of JoJo no Kimyou na Bouken series. Narancia’s mother passed away when he was 10, leaving him to be raised by his neglectful father, who thinks he is a loser. Soon Narancia stopped attending school and began staying at his friends’ houses, stealing food from restaurants. Narancia believed that friendship was the most important thing in the world, which allowed him to be manipulated by an older friend. Unfortunately it let him to be arrested by the police. However one day after he was finally released from the detention center, as he was digging through bins looking for food, Narancia was picked up by Pannacotta Fugo and taken to a restaurant, where he met a mafia member Bruno Bucciarati, who offered him food. Half a year later, Narancia became a member of Passione gang, gained a Stand (a visual manifestation of life energy,‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎ an entity psychically generated by its owner), and joined Bucciarati’s team. He fights with a miniature fighter plane, Aerosmith, equipped with machine guns and missiles to attack enemies. It also boasts above-average nimbleness due to its nature, size, good range and uses a radar to detect an enemy’s position.

Narancia is a teenage boy of average height and gangly figure. He has a childish face and messy black hair with a fringe over his purple eyes. He wears a tight dark vest and pants with purple tint. Under the vest we can spot a prominent abdominal muscles. He has lighter accessories, including an orange bandana, wrist bands, and a short skirt. Narancia carries with him a pair of switchblades, which he regularly uses to threaten other people and has occasionally used in actual battle.

Narancia is being quite childish, a happy teenager, displaying typically child-like actions by expressing random thoughts out loud and occasionally playing around. However, he has also rough and choleric nature and gets angry easily. Despite his bratty behavior, Narancia presents a sweet side to those who get to know him. Narancia values his friends above all and considered “friendship” the most valuable thing in the world. He demonstrates great loyalty to his comrades. He is prone to perform a violently straightforward action, regularly catching sneakier enemies by surprise. Narancia is capable of countering his opponent’s moves under pressure in a life-or-death battle. He is quick-tempered, being quite loud, foul-mouthed, and violent in his outbursts. He doesn’t hesitate in committing violent actions. He is usually the one who slacks off the most during missions. Narancia was shown to be possessive of his food and is angered if it gets stolen.

Thanks a lot to PrinceAwesome88 for request. ^_^

Step 1

As always all the blue and green lines are just construction lines and will be erased later so do not push on your pencil too much ^_^ I will try to be super efficient with the text so will only describe steps that require some explanation.
Make sure to leave enough free space on paper for next steps. You can see how much space you will need from the size of the paper on this picture.

Step 2

Step 3

Step 4

Step 5

Step 6

Step 7

Step 8

Step 9

Lighten all the construction lines by “stamping” the kneaded eraser on the paper. Make sure to refer to the picture bellow as you need to ink only some parts of the construction lines.

Step 10

Wait till the ink is nice and dry and erase all the construction lines.

Step 11

To add colors, make sure to sketch the color outlines with the right color or pencil first.

If your goal is to become a real Mangaka and design your own manga characters make sure to try to draw Narancia Ghirga from memory several times. Always compare the drawing to the original and correct any mistakes you see. Do this till you are happy with the result. It doesn’t have to look exactly the same, don’t sweat the details. The point is that you get the main shapes right and that it looks good. This is the best way to build a huge library of manga shapes in your memory that you can use to draw and design your own manga characters ^-^.
Draw with passion! ^_^
