Let’s learn how to draw Shirakami Fubuki from hololive Gamers today!
Shirakami Fubuki (白上フブキ) is a Japanese Virtual YouTuber associated with hololive, as part of the Hololive 1st Generation and she is the leader of hololive Gamers. Fubuki is a white haired kemomimi (animal-eared) highschool student, specifically an arctic fox, living around the mountains near a forest of elves, and lives at her grandfather’s log cabin. Japanese foxes are capable of assuming alternate forms, and Fubuki took hololive as an opportunity to spend time living as a human.

She is a timid, shy girl that fumbles over her words often, frequently hiding off the screen with only her fox ears peeking up and quickly running away when doing embarrassing things. Nevertheless she likes to talk to people. Throughout the years, she has gained experience, confidence, the stamina to talk a lot and the skill to befriend anyone she meets. She is close to her colleagues and tries to help them in any way she can. She is also usually cheerful and excited, singing little songs and making many in-jokes. However, she can be cunning, ruthless and twisted as shown most often when playing games.

Her fanbase is officially called “Sukon-bu” (すこん部). She plays a variety of games, and often loves to try out any kind of games in any genres. She becomes enthralled in games and is known to be friends with some indie and other major company/group of VTubers and has collaborated with many of them before. In Japanese, the onomatopoeia for a fox’s bark is “kon-kon” which sounds like “corn”. As a result, corn has become Fubuki’s representative emoji.

Step 1

As always all the blue and green lines are just construction lines and will be erased later so do not push on your pencil too much ^_^ I will try to be super efficient with the text so will only describe steps that require some explanation.
Make sure to leave enough free space on paper for next steps. You can see how much space you will need from the size of the paper on this picture.

Step 4

Step 6

Step 7

Step 8

Step 9

Lighten all the construction lines by “stamping” the kneaded eraser on the paper. Make sure to refer to the picture bellow as you need to ink only some parts of the construction lines.

Step 10

Wait till the ink is nice and dry and erase all the construction lines.

Step 11

To add colors, make sure to sketch the color outlines with the right color or pencil first.

If your goal is to become a real Mangaka and design your own manga characters make sure to try to draw Shirakami Fubuki from memory several times. Always compare the drawing to the original and correct any mistakes you see. Do this till you are happy with the result. It doesn’t have to look exactly the same, don’t sweat the details. The point is that you get the main shapes right and that it looks good. This is the best way to build a huge library of manga shapes in your memory that you can use to draw and design your own manga characters ^-^.
Draw with passion! ^_^
