Today we are going to draw Byakuran, former boss of Gesso Family and one of two bosses of Millefiore familly. Thanks to Kostas783 for request ^_^
As always don’t push too hard on your pencil as all the blue lines are just construction lines and will be erased later.
Step 1
Step 01: Draw the head circle and vertical center line slightly to the left. We have two eye lines in this tutorial, they touch center line in about 1/4 of the circle height. Next draw the chin mark (green on the picture) it should be about 1/3 of the head circle below.
Step 2
Step 02: Draw eyes on the eye line. Notice that one on the left is smaller and closer to the center line. This is caused by perspective and we call it Size 3D principle. Draw Byakuran’s mouth and lover lip. Now onto jaw, notice that the part on the left is resembling S shape a little. It is also connecting to the head circle higher.
Step 3
Step 3: Time for the nose, eyebrows and Byakuran’s trademark tattoo. Also draw the inclined line for his collar.
Step 4
Step 4: Let’s draw Byakuran’s eyelids, irises and eye reflections. Don’t forget the eyelashes and nose details. Next draw his neck and finish the collar.
Step 5
Step 5: Let’s start with hair. Also draw the collar strap and two buttons.
Step 6
Step 6: More hair, notice how it overlaps Byakuran’s eyes. Two belts for his collar on right.
Step 7
Step 7: Even more hair ^^ draw 4 buckles on his collar belts.
Step 8
Step 8: Ok, this is important step. Before you precede any further make sure you have everything drawn in pencil first. There is more hair and more detail compared to the step 7, so reference the image above as well as you can. One you have everything down in pencil continue with ink or lighten the drawing with kneedable eraser (remember don’t draw but “stamp” the eraser) and draw the final lines with dark pencil strokes.
Step 9
Step 9: Wait till your ink dries completely and erase all the construction line. Cool! ^^
Step 10
Step 10: Lets shade Byakuran with pencil or grey marker. Again, make sure to draw the outlines of grey areas in pencil first before using marker. This one wasn’t easy right? Anyway I like the result ^^
Remember, if you really wanna become a great Manga artist try to draw this picture again from memory, compare the final drawing and repair the mistakes. It doesn’t have to look exactly same, its enough if it looks good and resemble Byakuran ^_^. This will help you to enter more Manga shapes and into your memory so you can use them once designing your own Manga characters.
Draw with passion! ^_^
