Let’s learn how to draw Giyu Tomioka from Kimetsu no Yaiba today!
Giyuu Tomioka (冨岡 義勇) is a major supporting character of Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba series. He is a a Demon Slayer and the Water Hashira (one of the nine most powerful swordsmasters who each serve in their war against demons).
Giyu is a tall, strong, young man of a muscular stature and pale complexion. He has long, spiky, unruly black hair of uneven lengths, which is tied into a low messy ponytail that sticks up in tufts around his head. His bangs fall over his dark, cloudy blue eyes. His eyes are sharp and reasonably thin. Irises have a deep sapphire color that fades to a lighter blue and their pupils have a bluish-black color. Eyes are framed by thin eyebrows.
Giyu wears a dark cyan-tinted Demon Slayer uniform with white leg-wraps. Pair of white zōri sandals with dark blue straps and the socks underneath with the same cyan color as his uniform. Over his kimono, Giyu wears a haori (traditional) jacket that’s split from the middle into two different patterns. The right part is a solid crimson and the left part is geometrically patterned with squares of green, orange, and yellow. His haori is a memento of his deceased best friend Sabito and his older sister Tsutako Tomioka.
Giyu always retains a very stoic and serious demeanor with serious expression on his face. He possesses a strong sense of justice and understands the pain of loss. This implies that he is more pragmatic in dealing with Demons rather than doing it out of hatred for them like some other Hashira do. He is a man of very few words and has trouble interacting with others, so he usually keeps himself at a distance. Despite his aloof and stoic nature, Giyu is shown to be protective and caring towards those he is close to and considers his friends. However, Giyu will not let his personal relationships get in the way of his duty.

As always all the blue and green lines are just construction lines and will be erased later so do not push on your pencil too much ^_^ I will try to be super efficient with the text so will only describe steps that require some explanation.
Make sure to leave enough free space on paper for next steps. You can see how much space you will need from the size of the paper on this picture.

Lighten all the construction lines by “stamping” the kneaded eraser on the paper. Make sure to refer to the picture bellow as you need to ink only some parts of the construction lines.

Wait till the ink is nice and dry and erase all the construction lines.

To add colors, make sure to sketch the color outlines with the right color or pencil first.
If your goal is to become a real Mangaka and design your own manga characters make sure to try to draw Giyu Tomioka from memory several times. Always compare the drawing to the original and correct any mistakes you see. Do this till you are happy with the result. It doesn’t have to look exactly the same, don’t sweat the details. The point is that you get the main shapes right and that it looks good. This is the best way to build a huge library of manga shapes in your memory that you can use to draw and design your own manga characters ^-^.
