Let’s learn how to draw Nezuko Kamado from Kimetsu no Yaiba today!
Nezuko Kamado (竈門(かまど) 禰(ね)豆(ず)子(こ) Kamado Nezuko) is one of the main female protagonists of fantasy horror Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba series. Originally she was an ordinary girl born into a poor yet happy family. With her brother they are the two remaining members of the Kamado family. She was turned into a Demon by Kibutsuji Muzan, the main antagonist, the first demon of his kind and also the one responsible for slaughtering the majority of the Kamado family.

Nezuko is a petite young girl with fair skin. She has visibly large, prominent fangs and sharp, claw-like nails. Her hair is long, black and reaches just below her waist. The color of her hair, turns into a flame-orange as it passes her elbows. She has soft-looking, pale pink eyes that appear a lighter color around the rims of their irises and framed by notably long eyelashes. She wears a light pink kimono with a star pattern and with a paler pink lining. Red and white checkered obi (a belt worn with traditional Japanese clothing) with orange and green looped band are knotted around her waist. Over this, she wears a long, dark brown haori that reaches past her knees. Pair of zōri sandals with pink straps and the white socks underneath, wrapped with thick pieces of black material. Nezuko also wears a small pink ribbon to the left of her head, to keep her hair out of her face, and the bamboo which is secured around her jaw with a strip of red cloth.

As a human, Nezuko was a kind and caring girl, who thought of others before herself and was a responsible older sister to her younger siblings and often put their needs first rather than her own. Nezuko is not afraid to get in harm’s way, protecting her friends from Demons. However, as a Demon, she seems to have forgotten a good portion of her memories as a human, besides those related to her family. She is still very caring and protective towards humans who she sees as members of her family. In general she appears more detached than her human cohorts, although she is still much calmer and less malicious than most Demons. Since becoming a Demon, Nezuko appears to have become also rather brazen, and does not seem to fear fighting, she fiercely guards her brother as well as her allies. She has also developed a strong willpower. She refuses to consume human flesh or blood.

Step 1

As always all the blue and green lines are just construction lines and will be erased later so do not push on your pencil too much ^_^ I will try to be super efficient with the text so will only describe steps that require some explanation.
Make sure to leave enough free space on paper for next steps. You can see how much space you will need from the size of the paper on this picture.

Step 4

Step 5

Step 6

Step 7

Step 8

Step 9

Lighten all the construction lines by “stamping” the kneaded eraser on the paper. Make sure to refer to the picture bellow as you need to ink only some parts of the construction lines.

Step 10

Wait till the ink is nice and dry and erase all the construction lines.

Step 11

To add colors, make sure to sketch the color outlines with the right color or pencil first.

If your goal is to become a real Mangaka and design your own manga characters make sure to try to draw (meno panacika) from memory several times. Always compare the drawing to the original and correct any mistakes you see. Do this till you are happy with the result. It doesn’t have to look exactly the same, don’t sweat the details. The point is that you get the main shapes right and that it looks good. This is the best way to build a huge library of manga shapes in your memory that you can use to draw and design your own manga characters ^-^.
Draw with passion! ^_^
