Let’s learn how to draw Tsukumo Sana from hololive EN 2nd Generation today!
Tsukumo Sana (九十九 佐命) is an English Virtual YouTuber associated with hololive -Council-, as part of the Hololive English 2nd Generation. She is the Speaker of “Space,” the very first concept created by the Gods. After being materialized in the mortal realm, she began researching astrology for one particular reason. However, she soon stumbled unknowingly upon the Forbidden Truth, and was turned into an apostle for the Ancient Ones.
Sana has a light-hearted and sometimes childish attitude. She was described by another member as the ultimate “ドM” (masochist), having insane art skills and a heart as big as space. She has an interest in both astronomy and astrology, and often makes references to space. She enjoys stating fun facts, particularly those with large numbers. Sana is larger than Earth’s Sun, but shrank down to human size in order to experience Earth. The antenna on her head is a limiter which prevents her height from increasing. It only appears when she is at human size, and is absent when she is full size. Sana has an Australian accent.
Her fanbase is officially called “Sanallite,” (“Sana” + “satellite”). Sana’s mascot is Yatagarasu, a sun god in the form of a majestic three-legged crow. Sana is the second member of hololive English to speak fluent bird language, after Takanashi Kiara. She uses it to speak with her mascot Yatagarasu. She likes pasta, macarons, and round things like baby seals and planet Earth. Her hobbies are astronomy, astrology, graphic design, drawing, traveling, hiking, snorkling, camping, and eating.
Step 1
As always all the blue and green lines are just construction lines and will be erased later so do not push on your pencil too much ^_^ I will try to be super efficient with the text so will only describe steps that require some explanation.
Make sure to leave enough free space on paper for next steps. You can see how much space you will need from the size of the paper on this picture.

Step 6

Step 7

Step 8

Step 9
Lighten all the construction lines by “stamping” the kneaded eraser on the paper. Make sure to refer to the picture bellow as you need to ink only some parts of the construction lines.

Step 10
Wait till the ink is nice and dry and erase all the construction lines.

Step 11
To add colors, make sure to sketch the color outlines with the right color or pencil first.
If your goal is to become a real Mangaka and design your own manga characters make sure to try to draw Tsukumo Sana from memory several times. Always compare the drawing to the original and correct any mistakes you see. Do this till you are happy with the result. It doesn’t have to look exactly the same, don’t sweat the details. The point is that you get the main shapes right and that it looks good. This is the best way to build a huge library of manga shapes in your memory that you can use to draw and design your own manga characters ^-^.
Draw with passion! ^_^
