Giorno Giovanna (ジョルノ・ジョバァーナ Joruno Jobāna) is one of the main protagonists of Vento Aureo – Golden Wind, which is the fifth story arc of JoJo no Kimyou na Bouken series. Born as Haruno Shiobanam, he and his mother moved to the Italy and he became Giorno Giovanna. His dream is to become a “Gang-Star” and as such he eventually joins the mob squad Passione. Giorno is a natural-born Stand User wielding the life-giving Gold Experience in battle.

Giorno is a teenage boy of average height and slim yet muscular build. His golden hair of moderate length is tied back in a short, braided tail. He has three distinctive oversized curls arranged in a row over his forehead. Giorno wears a two-piece suit with wing-shaped emblems on the collars and a heart-shaped opening in the chest area. He has three ladybug emblems on each side of his chest and in the belt area. The most common colors of his suit are blue or fuchsia pink outlined with gold.

A defining characteristic of Giorno is his resolve. He has ability to make important decisions without hesitation and seeing them through to the very end. He is frequently willing to allow himself to be injured if it leads to an advantageous situation. Unlike typical mafia bosses, he wanted to give divested riches to the poor. He desires to put a stop to the drug trafficking ruining countless innocent lives in Italy. He eventually influences all of Passione, except their boss, who later became their worst enemy. Giorno tends to approach many things with a calm demeanor, and demonstrates immense composure. At his worst, when he desperately longs for a solution, he might yell. Hovewer, he never reaches a level of panic to become reckless or impetuous. His parents’ abuse encouraged his introverted nature and his habit of observing others, resulting in his deductive skills. Giorno treats people with the amount of respect he believes they deserve based on his observations of their beliefs and actions. He has a good heart and wants to help out anybody who has demonstrated kindness to him or others. However, Giorno values life greatly and always seeks to never leave someone to die if he himself is able to help it. Giorno is polite in his interactions with authorities, and in fact doesn’t swear at all, possessing consistently well-mannered speech patterns. Giorno regularly maintains a facade of confident boldness, backed up by his intelligence and his natural charisma.

As always all the blue and green lines are just construction lines and will be erased later so do not push on your pencil too much ^_^ I will try to be super efficient with text so will only describe steps that require some explanation.

Make sure to leave enough free space on paper for next steps. You can see how much space you will need from the size of the paper on this picture.

Lighten all the construction lines by “stamping” the kneedable eraser on paper. Make sure to refer to the picture above as you need to ink only some parts of the construction lines. There are also some new lines so better sketch them in pencil first ^_^.

Wait till the ink is nice and dry and erase all the construction lines.

To add colors, make sure to sketch the color outlines with the right color or pencil first.

If your goal is to become a real Mangaka and design your own manga characters make sure to try to draw Giorno Giovanna from memory several times. Always compare the drawing to the original and correct any mistakes you see. Do this till you are happy with the result. It doesn’t have to look exactly the same, don’t sweat the details. The point is that you get the main shapes right and that it looks good.
