Let’s learn how to draw Mano Aloe from hololive 5th Generation today!
Mano Aloe (魔乃アロエ, Mano Aroe) was a Japanese Virtual YouTuber associated with hololive, as part of the Hololive 5th Generation. She is a headstrong, mischievous succubus-in-training who dreams of becoming the Diva of the Demonic Realm. After learning of hololive from an acquaintance, watching them perform at hololive’s 1st fes. Nonstop Story, she decided to come test out her charms in the human realm. Aloe claims that her horns are asymmetrical because she is still growing, but both horns will eventually be of the same size.
She was considered a breach of contract, and she was given a 2-week suspension merely two days after her official debut. The unintentional leak of her Live2D model months before the official debut was in the form of a test stream on Twitcasting consented by her manager. However, after debuting on YouTube, she forgot to delete the test stream. The misfortune continued when she has been a victim of doxxing, as she was receiving calls from her home phoneline. Following a 2 week suspension, Aloe graduated from Hololive on August 31, 2020 after deciding that she was not physically or mentally prepared to continue with her activities. Soon after, both her YouTube channel and Twitter profile were wiped of any remaining content
Aloe’s name is a reference to “Aloe Vera”. She likes to cook, prepare bento boxes, cleaning, singing and she wanted to make original songs. She dislikes insects, even butterflies, but claims she would not kill them. Her fanbase is officially called “Ma no tomo” (魔の友) in Japanese which translates to “Devil’s friend”. There is a fan-created website which was dedicated to cheering her up during her 2-week suspension. It was later changed to be dedicated to Aloe’s memory as a member of hololive, as well as to wish her wellness on whatever path she took.
Step 1
As always all the blue and green lines are just construction lines and will be erased later so do not push on your pencil too much ^_^ I will try to be super efficient with the text so will only describe steps that require some explanation.
Make sure to leave enough free space on paper for next steps. You can see how much space you will need from the size of the paper on this picture.

Step 3
Step 4
Step 5
Step 6
Step 7
Step 8
Step 9
Lighten all the construction lines by “stamping” the kneaded eraser on the paper. Make sure to refer to the picture bellow as you need to ink only some parts of the construction lines.
Step 10
Wait till the ink is nice and dry and erase all the construction lines.
Step 11
To add colors, make sure to sketch the color outlines with the right color or pencil first.
If your goal is to become a real Mangaka and design your own manga characters make sure to try to draw Mano Aloe from memory several times. Always compare the drawing to the original and correct any mistakes you see. Do this till you are happy with the result. It doesn’t have to look exactly the same, don’t sweat the details. The point is that you get the main shapes right and that it looks good. This is the best way to build a huge library of manga shapes in your memory that you can use to draw and design your own manga characters ^-^.
Draw with passion! ^_^
